Dear Larry, I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your excellent service and attendance to our window treatment problems. In addition to being a pleasant person to work with, your prices are affordable. Let me relay a story to you concerning your prices. After we had contracted you to install our pleated shades in the sun room, we noticed a sale ad in the Sunday Star that advertised the “very same” pleated shades we discussed with you for the reminder of the house. This ad stated that we would save 50-60% on Hunter Douglass blinds or shades. We of course thought this would be a great way to save money on the window treatments for the rest of the house. We arrived at this store on the last day of the sale equipped with measurements for the remaining windows. The grand total of eight or more pleated shades and four “inexpensive” mini-blinds for the garage windows was well over $1000. Realizing that you had given us a more reasonable quote with no pretense of the sale, we wondered where the 50-60% savings could be at this store. Be assured that I am your “best advertiser” as I am spreading the word that “sales” are not necessarily sales. My friends in the market for blinds and shades will be pointed in your direction. Again, thank you for your excellent service, friendly atmosphere and “truth in advertising.”
